Our story

Established in 2019, Third Day Family Farms started after Theresa read a book that encouraged her to discover her "blue flame" in life- and for her that is sharing beauty with others through cut-flowers. We put a great deal of care into the soil health at our farm so that our plants can grow naturally to produce their best blooms and stem-length. We strive to be good stewards of the land the Lord has given us, and we hope that we are able to bring the community together in sharing the gift of flowers.

About

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • What is a porch petal subscription?
A porch petal subscription is a weekly delivery to your front door (home or office). Set up as a CSA model (community supported agriculture), the client invests in the farm before the season even begins. You can choose between a Monday morning option or Wednesday evening option for delivery. We remind you the morning of delivery that you will be receiving your flowers that day. No need to be home to receive, we will set the flowers in a safe place where they can stay hydrated and you can receive them once you arrive home. If you cannot receive them that week, we would be happy to deliver to an alternate address in the Bismarck/Mandan area. The porch petal subscription is a super convenient option to receive weekly flowers for you and those around to enjoy.
  • Can I visit the farm?
We have scheduled workshops and farm tours during our summer months that we would love for you to attend and experience the flower farm. We are not open to the public, unless during workshop hours.
  • Do you do weddings?
First of all, happy wedding prep, what a beautiful gift to plan this important day! We work with some amazing florists in town and would be happy to provide locally grown flowers to these florists in order for them to make you some beautiful wedding pieces. If you are more of a DIY kind of bride, we can also provide bulk buckets to fit your needs. Our farm is based off of seasonality only, we do not order in extra flowers. If this seem to fit your style, we would be happy to visit a little more about your day, please send us an email!
  • Do you grow everything?
We sure do! We are happy to be your locally grown flower farmer. Our winter tulip program is grown indoors from January through May and then our field flowers are grown outdoors from May through September. On our farm we have made a choice to not use any harmful pesticides or herbicides, but rather strive to promote a healthy environment for healthy flowers.
